this classic video game font is from the original NES metroid password screen. metroid is my all time favorite video game series. the standard letters and numbers were available from game sprites, but all the punctuation and special characters are original. i think the fixed width version looks closer to its in game usage.

this font was created for the metroid password generator reverse engineered in actionscript 3. you select checkboxes that represent every possible item or action taken in the game. each bit of data gets encrypted and thrown into an algorithm to make the password. you can download the standalone version or scroll down and see the web version.

both are full sets of capitals, lower case, digits, and special characters, the full international character set, and dingbatz!
